Los Protegidos in another country.

Los Protegidos already seen in Portugal and Francia, and it has been sold to China and it´s going to have an adaptation in Italy, Russia, and the United States. Now also arrives to Turkey.

Turkey: This is the first Spanish fiction adapted in Turkey, Boomerang sold to Turkey the format of ¨Los Protegidos¨. But, the version which airs on the Fox Channel in this country has another title ¨I´ll tell you a secret¨.

The landing of ¨Los Protegidos¨in Turkey was almost by accident. ¨A special effects company took interest in the series and convinced a Turkish producer to do an adaptation, explain María García, the boss of sales and purchases of fiction in Boomerang.

However, sometimes have to make some changes in the serie, for the public of a different country and for the good functioning of the serie. For example the Turkey version with duration of 90 minutes contrasts with the 70 minutes of the Spanish version.

The success was immediate. With the fourth chapter, Fox became leader of audience.

  USA: Los Protegidos will have an American version. The serie which was emited in the Spanish channel ¨Antena 3¨ is going to have a remake for the American TV. ¨Los Protegidos¨ whose American version is entitled ¨A Normal Family¨. 

CHINA: This is the first Spanish fiction sold to China. Whose rights have gained the national public broadcaster CCTV (China Central Television). CCTV is going to issue three full seasons. And this will lead to the Spanish fiction to a large audience market. 

Los Protegidos was a series of tv of science fiction produced by Boomerang TV for the Spanish channel ¨Antena 3¨, Issued between the year 2010 and 2012. It mix elements of drama and fantasy, and it was the series revelation of the year 2010. Whose inventors were Dario Madrona and Ruth García. It has three seasons, and it´s audience was spectacular for three consecutive years.

Awards.

Los Protegidos have harvested many successes during it emission in Spain. In the year 2010 after it first retransfer it was nominated in the festival of radio and television of Vitoria, and it obtained the award to ¨Discovery of the year ¨. In the same year, ¨Los Protegidos¨ also won the award to ¨The best series¨ in the Zapping awards.

After finishing it´s second and successful season, they gained the prize to ¨Better Series¨ for the association of Viewers and Radio listeners of Spain, in the year 2011.

In the year 2012 it´s protagonists were nominated in several categories of the Neox Fan Awards.  But they only gained in the category of ¨Best Kiss ¨ for Ana Fernández and Luis Fernández. (Sandra and Culebra Castillo Rey).

Antagonists.

• Father: One of the leaders of the people who pursue and kidnaps special guys with powers and who has custody of them. Methodical and sinister, he takes charge of finding the Castillo Rey.

• Veronica: Is one of the child with powers, who is with father. Her power is the super speed. She can move faster than a normal human. In the second season, she helps father to kidnap the family Castillo Rey.

• Alicia:  She has the ability to make other people do what she want, and they can´t refuse her order.

• Daniel: He has the ability to make copies of himself. In the second season he took the decision to leave the clan, because he realise what Father is making.

• Judith: Her power is the manipulation of kinetic energy. She has the ability to throw small objects and destroy what it touch.

• Mother: Leader of the organization represented by the icon of an elephant. She´s lovely with the children whose are in her possession, but she´s shrewd.

• Martín: He works for Mother. He wents to ¨Valle Perdido¨ with a false sister for separate the family Castillo Rey, and capture the children. He adopted a false identity for gain their confidence, but he´s real intentions are others.

• Michelle: False sister of Martín. She can  control insects, it is her power. A girl with a rebellious character, who pretend be friend of Sandra, but she is helping Mother in her plans.

Main Characters.

-Mario Castillo: Mario is a man who has recently lost his wife, and has been in the care of his son Carlos. When Mario discovers that his son has powers everything is a bit more complicated. And then, he meets Jimena and the other boys as his son, and they began a new life in ¨Valle Perdido¨, discovering a series of mystereries.

-Jimena Rey: Jimena was a beautiful girl who had a good life, with her husband and her daughter Blanca. But one day, her daughter had a premonition, her daughter predicted that it would be kidnapped and it happened. After Jimena discover that there are more children with powers. Then she meets Mario and his son, and began to live with more children with powers new adventures, and searching at her real daughter with their help.

-Sandra Castillo Rey: She has the power to alter the electric field. One day she had an argument with her real sister and she hurts her with her powers, after that Sandra leaves her home. She took the decision to went with Jimena and the others children.

-Ángel Castillo Rey, alias ¨Culebra¨: A guy from the street, who has lived in orphanages. His power is invisibility, and he uses it to escape from the police and to survive on the streets. He had a difficult childhood and with the Castillo he feels like he has a family.

-Lucía Castillo Rey: Her power is that she can read minds. Her adoptive father died, and when she becomes part of the Castillo makes her feel very happy. She is afraid with the possibility that they could abandon her again. She adores a Culebra, and is very friend of Carlos.

-Carlos Castillo Rey: Is a shy boy who has problems for make friends. With the experience of going to live with children with powers like him begins to feel more comfortable. And with his new sister and friend Lucía is going to live much mischief. He´s power is telekinesis.

-Lucas Castillo López: Lucas is a shy and sensitive boy. Lucas was abandoned for his parents when they discovered that he had powers. His power is the metamorphosis. It will be part of the Castillo family. 

~About the Serie~

-THE ARGUMENT.

Los Protegidos it´s about a group of person who uses a false identity, and for the rest of the people who lives in the small town of ¨Valle Perdido¨ they are a family, but the truth it´s that they are trying to run away of a strange organization that seeks them called the Clan of the Elephant. The reason for the search is that many of them have supernatural powers. Under the care of Mario a widower parent with some insecurities and Jimena a mother who has suffered the kidnapping of her real daughter on the hands of the Clan of the Elephant, they both have a fictional relationship and they have two sons, Carlos and Culebra, and two daughters, Sandra and Lucía, fictitious and the company of another boy, their cousin, Lucas, and all of the children have powers. They try to lead a normal life, and discover who pursues them and why, and why they have these unusual powers. They are going to live a great series of adventures where you will discover very important things, and they will have problems, but will be gradually solving it. They will try to hide their secret and find the daughter of Jimena.
